Phantom will drop Sui support come Sept. 24, following its Monad exit as Sui TVL remains roughly 82% below its peak.

Phantom to Drop Sui in Second Chain Exit

Phantom is pulling support for another Layer 1, with Sui support ending September 24th, following Monad support ending this Wednesday.

What's the Scoop?

  • Sui Sunset: The decision comes roughly 20 months after adding the network in January 2025. After the deadline, users will no longer be able to view Sui balances, send transactions, swap assets, or connect to Sui apps through Phantom, though their assets remain safely onchain and accessible through other Sui wallets.
  • Another Chain Cut: Sui is Phantom's second recent network sunset, following July's cut of Monad, less than a year after Monad mainnet launched.
  • Rough Backdrop: The exit comes as Sui DeFi TVL sits near $469 million, roughly 82% below its $2.58 billion peak, following a year that also included several network outages. Phantom and Sui have not connected those issues to the decision, but losing distribution through one of crypto's largest wallets adds another headwind for the network.
